Logo Works: Lessons in Logo is a comprehensive curriculum that introduces and integrates Logo into 4th to 8th grade math, geometry, and computer literacy classes. Beginning by introducing the Logo turtle, the Logo Works Student Workbook moves through 47 carefully organized and sequenced lessons covering moving the turtle, angles, repeating, and the "Total Turtle Trip," up through writing procedures and super procedures and using recursion. Each lesson builds on the concepts introduced in the previous one and includes worksheets with activities and challenges to encourage hands-on exploration. Logo Works provides a step-by-step course in basic Logo and geometry concepts and the fundamentals of computer programming.
The Logo Works Teacher's Manual offers suggestions and direction for using the Logo Works Student Workbook in the classroom. The Teacher's Manual lists objectives for each for each of the Logo Works lessons and the new vocabulary introduced, and suggests points to emphasize, potential problem areas, and ways to guide computer activities. The Teacher's Manual also contains a printed solutions to Logo Works activities and reproducible masters to use with them.
The Logo Works Class Pack offers the entire Logo Works Student Workbook in PDF format along with a license to print the contents as desired for instruction at a school site. The Logo Works Teacher's Manual is included in the Class Pack.
