How does school licensing work?
Terrapin offers its products in convenient and economical formats to facilitate use with multiple students and computers at schools. Terrapin Logo is available in a Multiple Computer License that can be tailored to the number of computers on which it is used. Crystal Rain Forest and Focus on Bee-Bot are available with site licenses for school use. Terrapin's curriculum products, including Logo Works: Lessons in Logo, 101 Ideas for Logo, and Far Out Logo Investigations are available in Class Packs for use with multiple students.
Can my school add computers to its Terrapin Logo Multiple Computer License?
A school may extend the number of computers covered by a previously established Terrapin Logo Multiple Computer License at any time. No additional base fee is required. The cost is only the per computer fee for the additional computers as determined by the total number being licensed.
A school which purchases a single-user version of Terrapin Logo, Crystal Rain Forest, and/or Focus on Bee-Bot may apply the cost of the single-user version toward a Multiple Computer License or a Site License within one year of the initial purchase. Similarly the cost of single copies of Logo Works: Lessons in Logo, 101 Ideas for Logo, or Far Out Logo Investigations will receive credit for the amount paid for the single book toward the cost of a Class Pack within one year of the initial purchase.
Can Terrapin Logo be loaded onto the network server?
Terrapin Logo may be loaded from either a network server or from the hard disks of individual machines. Licensing is independent of technology. As long as the computer is covered by a Multiple Computer License, Terrapin Logo may be loaded onto the computer in any manner.
Can a Terrapin Logo Multiple Computer License cover computers in more than one location?
A Terrapin Logo Multiple Computer License can cover computers within a school district or campus that are controlled by the licensing organization. Contact Terrapin for information about licensing multiple schools within a district or multiple sites on a campus. We are happy to work with you to construct a license and provide the materials that best fit your situation.
Can I obtain an evaluation copy?
Teachers that are considering obtaining a Multiple Computer License for Terrapin Logo or a site license for Crystal Rain Forest may request a 30-day evaluation copy by sending the request on school letterhead via mail to
