Ordering and Shipping FAQ

How is my order shipped?

Most orders to residential addresses in the United States are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service. Most orders shipped to schools or businesses are shipped via United Parcel Service.

Orders to destinations outside the United States are usually shipped via the Postal Service.

Alternative carriers can be specified in your order. Unless specified, we choose the shipper we believe will provide the quickest, most convenient service.

When will I receive my order?

Most orders are shipped the next business day after they are received. You will be notified if we are unable to ship within a week of receiving your order.

Orders shipped via the Postal Service within the United States usually arrive within 2-4 days. Orders shipped via UPS arrive within 1-6 business days. Customers whose orders are shipped via UPS usually receive an email with the scheduled arrival date and tracking number when the order is shipped.

Orders shipped to destinations outside the United States usually arrive within 5-10 days.

How much does shipping cost?

The standard shipping charge for an order within the United States is $6. The standard shipping charge for an order outside the United States is $36.

If the destination address is in a country that accepts Global Priority Mail and the order fits in a Global Priority envelope (as does a single Terrapin Logo or a Terrapin Logo Multiple Computer License) the shipping charge is adjusted to $15.

Why was I charged $36 for shipping?

The $36 shipping charge is applied to orders when anything other than the default "USA" is typed in the country field. If the destination is a U.S. address, the shipping charge will be adjusted to $7.

When am I charged for my order?

Your order is not automatically charged when you check out and submit your order. Rather it is securely transmitted to the Terrapin shipping department. All orders are reviewed and charged only when they are prepared for shipment.
